Ashford Park is probably one of Brookhaven’s largest and most popular areas to live in.  It’s locationally advantageous to numerous spots including Buckhead dining/restaurants (maybe a 5-7 minute drive away), Town Brookhaven (home to dozens of boutique shops, restaurants/pubs, and Costco), and Village Place/Village Park (located along Dresden and has a handful of restaurants like Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub, Verde Taqueria, and a wine market called POUR).  Plus, it’s easy to get around to major highways such as GA 400, I-85, and I-285 and the Brookhaven Marta station is at the corner of Peachtree St and Dresden Drive.  The local elementary school, Ashford Elementary, has been gaining momentum as the neighborhood has transformed from older ranch/cottages to new, large (4,000 sq ft+) homes.  Most of the homes in this neighborhood are now primarily newer builds and the average price is $650K, but expect to pay closer to $800-$1 million for the newest and greatest homes in the area.  There are still some older ranch/bungalow styles in the area, and these can cost in the mid $400’s or even $500K depending on updates.
